Breaking News from the world of the Tribunals

Re-enactments are are now finished for Tonight with Vincent Browne. But tune in in the New Year to RTE Mon - Thurs at 10pm for all the latest sca.

Justice Morris has completed part of his enquiry into Garda corruption in Donegal and has published three damning reports.

I've heard that our book (see below) has sold out in Eason's! (If you're having trouble finding the book you can buy it here at the bargain price of €7.99 + p&p. Just e-mail: admin@thetribunalshow.com

The BEST of the Worst of the Tribunals

The man without whom none of this would happened - Vincent Browne - has provided us with a very, if I may say so, pithy Afterword.

The book is small and neat and contains all the gems that we have collated from the Flood/Mahon and Moriarty Tribunals over the past six years.

It is a perfect gift for the bedside table or that special place in the loo where some people keep their daily fix of knowledge.

I hope you all enjoy it and find it worthy of buying for your friends. Those of you who know the show will savour every word and those who don't have a treat in store.

"I saw them in Abbey St., and in Wexford. We had great fun that night."

Justice Fergus Flood on Marian Finucane 27th April 2004

DVDs, CDs and VHS still available (see below)

NEW BOOKINGS

By the way, we are always looking for new bookings. So if you want to see the show in your area why not get on to your local arts centre/theatre and get them to check out the website!

We also do a cut-down version for after dinner entertainment.

Do feel free to contact us at: admin@thetribunalshow.com.

THE DVD, VIDEO AND AUDIO CDs!

We have a limited amount available for purchase (come on - they were produced two years ago - yous had yers chance).

So e-mail Malcolm at admin@thetribunalshow.com if you would like one of these collector's items - as they will undoubtedly become in the near future - for your children's children.

Joe Taylor and Malcolm Douglas have become cult listening on 'Tonight with Vincent Browne' and 'After Dark' with Rodney Rice on RTE Radio 1. Thanks to the Moriarty and Flood Tribunals, thousands have tuned in to hear the pair take a close look at the days proceedings at the tribunals.

Malcolm and Joe are professional actors with wide-ranging experience: Malcolm spent many years as a leading member of the Abbey Theatre Company and has appeared in all the major Irish theatres, while Joe includes writing and broadcasting among his talents. Both have notched up impressive credentials in film, television and radio.

Malcolm and Joe are joined on stage by Susie Kennedy and Gaby Smyth. Susie is a versatile actress who does a mean line in sassy jazz and blues songs , while Gaby plays a blinder on the electric keyboard.

The Tribunals Show is a hilarious revue, which pokes a sharp stick into the seedy underbelly of Irish politics. It has had two successful runs at the HQ in the Irish Music Hall of Fame, three sell-out Saturdays and a recent three night run in the Project Arts Centre, and has visited Arts Festivals and theatres all around Ireland.

..a night of riveting entertainment…standing room only…cabaret style performance ...colorful cast of characters…”

-Int. Herald Tribune

“Vicious satire...excellent mimics”

- The Sunday Times

“…a visit to the mystical land of our tribunals – where selective amnesia is essential and who else could be responsible for bringing it to life than Joe Taylor and Malcolm Douglas, the voices behind the cult re-enactments on Vincent Browne's radio show.”

-Irish Independent

Excellent and hilarious......Given the litigious state of the nation these days, it might be as well to rush out and book now before someone refers the whole issue to the High Court and the Supreme Court and whichever of the European Courts deals with these things. But see it the nation must! It may be our only hope of political sanity in the years to come."

-The Irish Times

“Duo present a beginner’s guide to tribunal sagas”

-Irish Independent

A type of entertainment that has to be unique.”

- The Evening Herald

Much of the material on these webpages has been gleaned from the highly acclaimed Tribunals Show otherwise known as 'Will we get a receipt? Will we F*ck!' and subtitled Flood and Moriarty Revued (sic). This show was written by Joe Taylor and compiled from actual transcripts of the daily proceedings at the Flood and Moriarty Tribunals. Grown men, and women!, actually said these things to each other - in public - without blushing!

We have included satirical songs in the show, also written by Joe, and performed sometimes by the company but principally by the delectable Ms. Susie Kennedy with Mr Gaby Smyth on electric piano.

'He's in the Jailhouse now' lends itself well to the subject of Liam Lawlor - particularly when he actually was in the jailhouse! 'They Can't Take that Away from Me' became particularly apt when applied to Mr. Haughey's Charvet shirts and the leader's allowance funded dinners in Le Coq Hardi, a classy French restaurant in Dublin.

The show is very portable and can play anywhere from a crowded pub to a four hundred seater theatre.

to visit . Home to some extraordinary terrestrials whose testimony has coloured the proceedings at the tribunals for the past four years.

Have a good hunt around the site as there are some hidden pages for you to uncover. I'll be adding more in the future. (Hint: There's a little green wormhole in there somewhere!) Also try navigating with your sound turned on!

 Hope you enjoy the site!

(again soon!)

Do come back and visit us from time to time. We will be updating the site regularly with new stuff from the tribunals. Watch out for 'the Liam Lawlor page' and Frank Dunlop.

It's nearly time for the results of the competition to see who can most successfully graft the head of a famous person onto the most unsuitable animal or person. (Not literally, you idiot! With a graphics program, naturally.) The prize? A free copy of our lovely video or DVD - in the shops now! So e-mail your entries to:
